1:10 - Hey Saints, have you ever talked to God about the way you are raising the children He’s placed in your life? What about, “God, what’s wrong with this kid?” or “Now Lord, I know this child has a purpose of earth, but if he/she has got on my last nerves.” Or “Thank you Lord, for blessing me with him/her.” Or “God, she’s awesome.” Or “God, he is more than I ever imagined.”  Any of those statements sound familiar? 

2:00 - Well today, our focus is intercessory prayer and specifically fathers interceding for their sons. Saints, did you ever think that fatherhood is a calling? There is a unique bond between father and son and today my guests and I are going to draw out some things to help sweeten this bond.  

Ladies, it’s time to chill and just listen. Invite other fathers and soon-to-be fathers to join in.   

For this episode you will need your Bible, notepad and pen, cause the information is going to cause some taking notes. 

3:05 - Let’s pray…. Lord, there is so much happening in our world today when it comes to the male gender. It’s like the world is trying to rewrite what you have written about in your word, designed in their make-up and spoke throughout generations. Father God, help fathers to understand the importance of teaching what you have taught in scripture, as well as, being examples for Christ. Help them receive a nugget today that will transform their relationship with their son and You. In Jesus name, we pray, Amen. 

3: 55 - Lyvita: Fathers interceding for their sons. I never had the opportunity to raise sons, but God’s blessed where I have always had younger male cousins whom I help raise. Boys are unique. I remember the time, I had to take my little cousin who was, four I believe at the time, to class while I was taking my final. Imagine this…a classroom filled with silence, the intense smell of anxiety, students sweating pockets of hope every time they filled in a tiny circle on that paper. Silence. Then, out of the blue, sitting behind me, can, “B”. Everyone turned. That’s when I heard a student say, “What number?” Everyone laughed. 

Saints, I can’t remember my grade from that final, but I do remember the look on Damien’s face that said, “Cuz, everthing is OK.” My anxiety ceased and I finished that final. Those were the days.

6:10 - Ya’ll, when God placed on my heart to do an episode for fathers, it was clear that I needed to find a way to get to Bob Gresh on the episode. 12:40 - Lyvita: I’d like to let everyone know that we are focusing on sons between the ages of 7 to 12 years old. So, my brothers-in-Christ, I’ve got to start this discussion off with, is fatherhood a calling or is that something we Christians came up with?

2.   20:15 -Studies show that fathers spend more time with their daughters than sons and mothers favor their sons more than daughters. Is this something to be aware of or should sons and daughters be raised the same or different because of their gender and relationship to the parent? 

3.   18:20 – Should fathers demonstrate to their son(s) how to spend time with God? Any suggestions on how to do that? 

4.   26:70 – How do you reach son(s) that aren’t receptive to Christ?
