Why a blog on Spiritual Disciplines?

Why a blog on Spiritual Disciplines?

It wasn’t until the passing of my mother that I realized just how much I am grounded in Christ. Having daily devotionals, sitting in silence listening for God’s voice, seeking His peace, and praying, which were routines in my lifestyle now became times I yearned to be in God’s presence.

I want to share with you and the next generation the importance of and how-to establish spiritual disciplines, routines in your daily walk with Christ. For the equipping and encouraging of Believers to grow in love with God, others, and themselves. It’s my hope that some day we all come to the unity of faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to be mature people, in the fullness of Christ. (Ephesians 4:12-13 paraphrased)

If we don’t establish routines, habits, patterns, and disciplines, a thriving relationship with Christ will most likely not occur or be inconsistent.

This blog will equip you with the different spiritual disciplines for growing into a mature Believer. Here you will learn the benefits, scriptures and how-tos for practicing a particular discipline. There will also be a time for book reviews and interviews around our focus topic.
